Ok, it's going to be a long post. There is so much that Izzy
is doing now and it all seems to happening so quickly. I must share all of her new found 'tricks'. :)
Izzy has signs in sign language (well her version of it) for "more", although now she just uses the sign for 'please' and says, "mo mo". She can use a variation of "please" and that seems to be the 'go to' for pretty much anything she wants. We are working on her signing "thank you" and it's a lot like blowing kisses, so we get kisses for everything, which is fine by me!
I am working on a sign for 'help' and show her the sign for 'potty' often. I figure it's not too early to start working on those thing.
Her other thing to sign often is 'all done'. The other day we were at my moms and she was watching a friends dog, the dog started moving towards Izzy and someone says, "Oh how cute, she is waving at the dog". I said, "oh no, she is signing 'all done', she isn't too sure of dogs."
She will wave 'hi' and 'bye' and sometimes will say, "bye-bye."
She likes to pick up the toy phone she has and hold it to her ear and say, "Hello" which comes out at "Hi-lo."
She still loves those binkies and we keep 3 in the crib at night cause she use to throw them overboard. Well now she sleeps with 1 in her mouth, one in each hand, and holds onto her dolly.
They are suppose to stay in her crib during the day and we just use the one on the lanyard downstairs, but she sneaks in and gets them from her crib.
She likes music, likes to dance, and will 'wiggle' if you ask her too. Sometimes she will put one hand in the air and shake her hips to the music, it's adorable!
Bottle is the first word we had to start spelling out in front of her. If you mention it before it's bedtime then it's 'game over'. She is pretty smart thought, when I would say, "Izzy ready to go up-up-up for nigh night time?" She would say, "ba ba?" We have very recently made the full switch to only sippy cups and no bottles. She still asks for a ba-ba occasionally but not very often.
Another huge milestone I feel like was the move from the infant carrier to a 'real' car seat. Izzy has always been great in the car (could be cross country drive she has made twice in her life already and the countless trips back and forth from DM to CR) but now she can see even more out the window and just looks like a big girl!
Daddy did a great job of getting them set up and in the cars
She loves reading book, which makes my heart happy. We are working on the sign for book right now. If you ask her to pick one out, she will get it and bring it to you and say, "up" to sit on your lap and read. Melts my heart.
She also does a good job of putting her books away when she is done as well as some toys. We sing the 'clean up' song a lot around here ;)
When reading she will make a noise for 'bees', she says, "ah ah" when she sees a monkey, just yesterday she said, 'mmm' she she saw a cow, and said, 'duh' when she saw a dog. She knows birds and will give a 'b' sound, and I think her favorite animal is a duck! I attribute that to lots of tub time with Noni and the rubber duckies ;)
Izzy just popped her 8th tooth (4 on top and 4 on bottom) and is working on #9 which is an upper 'eye' tooth, not fun!
She says, "ut-oh" when she accidentally or deliberately drops something.
She can give one mean stink eye.
She doesn't always take long naps but almost always sleeps at least 12 hours at night, which I will take!
She give 'hi-fives'
East pretty much anything
Likes to clap
Loves being chased
Gabbers away all the time
Could play the piano at Noni's for hours
Knows where her hair, eyes, nose, and sometimes ears are
Likes to brush her hair, and yours after tub time
and gives great hugs and kisses!
Everyday is an adventure and I love watching her learn and explore
