This was a really fun weekend that started off with Noni and Ginger
coming to Des Moines for a visit. Izzy was beyond excited when Noni
walked up the stairs (I wish I had been video taping)
Then Auntie Stephie stayed the night Saturday night since Brad
had drill all weekend. Lot's of playtime!
Today we opened the windows and PLAYED OUTSIDE!!!
That's right, Izzy got to take her walker toy and walk outside
for the first time ever and she LOVED IT!
We opened all the windows (which I know I don't
need to tell my fellow Iowan's is amazing) and
enjoyed some fresh air and sunshine. I don't feel like
we ever took living by the beach for granted when we were
in Virginia, but I did forget how stir crazy you can go in the winter.
It makes days like the all the more refreshing and enjoyable!
Izzy is even wearing MY very first pair of tennis shoes ;)
Which is not only exciting because they were mine, but because
she NEVER lets up put shoes on her, let alone keep
them on her for any amount of time
But I guess being outside and having fun walking
around is good motivation for keeping shoes on!
Of course I had to point out the snow
which she could have cared less about
Except for of course tasting it
Then daddy came home and got to play with us!
All in all it was a very fun weekend!
